We design and deliver work that calls for both painting craft and an understanding of historic context. We work for parishes, municipalities, institutions, companies and private clients.
Murals and artistic facade design
Graphic language and execution technology matched to the character and status of the building.
Interior painting
Representative interiors, institutions, hotels and offices. From concept to execution, with expert selection of technology and of surface protection suited to how the interior is used.
Church polychromy and sacred painting
Churches, chapels and parish buildings. We agree the iconographic program and color scheme with the clergy, the parish council and the relevant commission.
We also create: painted logos and signage, interior wayfinding graphics, stained-glass designs, graphic design, live painting at events, commissioned paintings and art workshops.
What sets us apart
Design, documentation and execution in one team
When we design, we already think about execution. We choose artistic and technical solutions based on many years of experience in the field: they have to be feasible, durable and best for the intended effect.
Painting and specialist techniques
A project can be extended with relief elements such as casts or stucco, as well as sgraffito or its imitation and refined glaze finishing layers.
Knowledge of technology
We match materials to the substrate and conditions and, when needed, prepare the substrate for the artwork ourselves. We advise and consult solutions with specialists we work with on a regular basis.
A design that will pass approvals
We understand what designing and working on demanding sites involves: listed buildings and sites in heritage protection zones. From the first sketch we design so that the work has a real chance of approval by the relevant authority and does not come back for revisions, which shortens the path between the client and the authority.
How we work
For the client we prepare a detailed design that makes the whole project predictable from start to finish.

Site visit
We inspect the building, measure it and assess its state of preservation. Free of charge in our area.

Design
A detailed description of the artistic and design decisions, visualizations, the rationale for the chosen technology and color codes.

Approvals
Where the building requires it, we prepare the design in a form that makes approvals with the relevant authority easier.

Execution
Expert surface preparation, full-scale 1:1 trials, painting and related work, and finally handover to the client.

Documentation
For every project we prepare as-built documentation together with photographic documentation, in the scope agreed with the client.
The studio
ART STEC STUDIO ARTYSTYCZNE is Artur Stec’s studio, working with a team of long-standing collaborators.
Broad experience across many fields of art allows us to take on demanding and unusual projects. We combine design and painting with our own technology for transferring a design onto a wall at large scale: photography, vectorization and plotter-cut stencils.

Artur Stec
I am an artist and designer. I have been painting on walls since 1998. I started with graffiti: it taught me to create in public space and to carry out my own ideas.
I graduated in fashion design from the School of Artistic Fashion Design in Kraków, in graphic design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. I combine my own art practice with professional commissions. I approach every project thoroughly and from the ground up: I try to understand its place and history, so that something timeless can emerge.
