A painting from the series “The Temporality of Existence” (2026), my MFA diploma in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Each work in the series is about a person, and painting here is an attempt to bring back moments that are already gone.
I paint from my own photographs, which I first rework: I draw over them, clean them up and combine them into collages. I build the form from layers of flat, semi-transparent shapes with a screen-print character, where sharp drawing meets a blurred patch of color. I use the same language on the wall, in the mural “We Are Only Here for a While”.
