An independent mural on the side facade of an apartment block, painted during the first edition of the “Siew” street art open-air event, whose theme was community. The whole wall is covered with hands in different kinds of handshake and in different skin tones; among them there is also an animal’s paw.
From a distance the painting reads as a geometric, almost abstract composition, and the subject reveals itself only on a closer look. The palette is warm pinks, beiges and browns, and the forms are built with contour and dense hatching. The existing windows were worked into the drawing. The inspiration was Angélica Dass’s “Humanae” project.
