The detention center building and prison wall in the historic center of Fordon received a new, coherent treatment. Portraits and ornaments tell of the town’s multi-faith past, and the dates 1382 and 1424 recall the granting of town rights. Three painted windows on the wall show former places of worship.
The palette comes from the colors of the surroundings, so the painting completes the architecture instead of competing with it. The stucco was approved on 3D models, and key elements on full-scale 1:1 trials.
